Not sure if your social media is actually working?
Pop your post stats in below and find out your engagement rate in seconds. Works for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You'll need your follower count and the interaction numbers from any post - find these in your account's Insights or Analytics.
This calculator works one post at a time. Enter the stats from a single post to get that post's engagement rate. For a more accurate picture of how your account is performing overall, run your last 10 posts through one at a time, add up the results, and divide by 10. That average will be much more reliable than judging yourself on any single post.

How your result stacks up
Your engagement rate tells you what percentage of your audience actually did something with your post - liked it, commented, saved it, shared it. It's a far more useful number than your follower count, because it shows whether your content is landing.
What counts as "good" is different on every platform. Facebook organic reach is genuinely tough right now, so even a small percentage is worth celebrating. Instagram and LinkedIn tend to see higher rates, but it still varies a lot depending on your account size and industry.
The most useful thing you can do is track your own rate over time. Pick a post each week, run it through the calculator, and watch whether the number goes up or down. That trend tells you far more than any single result.
One of the easiest ways to nudge your Instagram engagement higher is to post more carousels. They consistently outperform single images and Reels for saves, comments, and shares and they're not as complicated to create as you might think.
My Instagram Carousel Training walks you through exactly how to do it, in a way that's simple and actually doable for a busy business owner.
