Two ways to make an Instagram carousel in about 20 minutes, without a designer or a spare afternoon. A live one-hour workshop for business owners who know carousels work but never get around to making one.
10am NZDT / 8am AEDT, Monday 19 October.
Online. Replay sent to everyone.
You've seen them. The posts people save, send to a friend and swipe through right to the end. And you've thought "I should do that."
Then you picture it. Eight slides, the right words on each one, and somehow making it all look like it belongs to your business. Somewhere in there you decide another single photo will do.
Meanwhile, carousels are doing exactly what Instagram rewards right now. They hold attention for longer, and they get saved and shared, which is how your posts reach people who don't follow you yet.
In this workshop I'll make two carousels live, start to finish, so you can see exactly how long they take. One is a photo carousel made right inside the Instagram app. The other is a text carousel written and designed by Claude, in my brand colours and fonts.
You'll learn:
Which style to use and when, so you're never stuck deciding. Got a photo? That's one. Got an idea or a tip? That's the other.
How to make a photo carousel inside Instagram, adding text over your own photos with no extra apps and nothing to pay for.
How to get Claude to write and design a text carousel, including how to tell Claude your brand colours and fonts so the slides look like yours.
What to put on slide one, since that's where people decide whether to swipe or scroll past.
How many slides to use and what goes on the last one so people do something after they've swiped.
Where carousels fit in your month, so they become part of your normal posting instead of a special project.

A skill is a small instruction pack you add to Claude (the AI tool) so it already knows how to approach a job.
This one makes text carousels for you, words and design. The first time you use it, it asks you a few quick questions about your business and your brand, including your colours and fonts. After that, give it one idea and it writes the slides and designs them, so every carousel comes out sounding like you and looking like it belongs to your business.
It takes about two minutes to install, and I'll show you how in the workshop. You'll get it straight after the session, yours to keep.

Carousels get saved and shared, you know that, and you still haven't made one.
One carousel post once took you the whole afternoon to create and you just haven't gone back.
Your camera roll is full of good photos that never make it onto your feed.
Claude is on your "should try" list and you want to see it make something you'd actually post.
Carousels are already a quick, regular part of your posting.
You're after advanced design training. This is about making carousels fast with tools you've already got.

I'm running this workshop because carousels keep coming up with the business owners I work with. They know carousels work. They've just filed them under "design job", and design is the last thing they have time for, so the carousels never get made.
I make my text carousels in Claude now, using a design setup I built once, and my photo ones right inside Instagram. Neither takes me more than about 20 minutes, and I'll show you both.

This is a brand new workshop but here are some words from real business owners who have attended previous workshops with me.
Yes. Everything is demonstrated live on screen, one step at a time, in plain English. I teach a lot of people who describe themselves as not techy and they do just fine. You'll also have the replay to go back through at your own pace.
The photo carousel only uses the Instagram app. For the text carousel you'll need a Claude account. I do recommend a paid Claude account at US$20/month.
Yes. I'll show you what you need to get started.
No. This one is specifically about carousel posts, the type that you swipe through a number of slides.
Yes, for both service and product businesses. Photo carousels are great if you've got products or work to show, and text carousels suit tips and advice, so every business is covered.
Yes. Everyone gets the replay, so you can watch it when it suits you.
